No experience is necessary. We suggest it but it is absolutely not required. Our team will walk you through everything you need to know before you leave the dock. Electric Duffy boats are easy to operate, easier than most people expect.
All drivers must be 25 years of age or older and must bring a valid drivers license. There is no minimum age for passengers. Guests of all ages are welcome up to the 12-person maximum.
The person driving needs a valid photo ID and a matching credit or debit card. That is all.
We hold a credit or debit card on file as a $500 damage deposit. It is only ever charged if damage occurs. If you return the boat in the same condition you found it, which the vast majority of guests do, nothing is charged.
We require 72 hours advance notice to cancel a reservation.
Yes and we highly recommend it. Please keep the boat tidy. Excessive mess may result in a cleaning fee. Red wine is not permitted on board. The driver must remain sober for the entire rental.
Yes, alcohol is welcome for passengers. The driver cannot consume alcohol during the rental.
Yes. A few rules: no mylar balloons, nothing that blocks the driver's view, and no glitter or confetti-based decorations.
Anywhere within Dana Point Harbor. The boat cannot go outside the harbor.
Yes, we provide life jackets in all sizes. US Coast Guard regulations require all passengers under 14 to wear one at all times. Anyone who cannot swim is also required to wear one.
Yes, for an additional fee we can arrange for one of our team to captain the boat for you. Contact our office for details.
Yes. The boat has a small onboard refrigerator but you are welcome to bring your own cooler for extra space.
No. Fishing is not permitted on any of our boats. Swimming from a motorized watercraft is prohibited by law.
Pets are not permitted on the electric boats.
